The newly added signature search algorithm increases chances of successful recovery
The latest version of File Uneraser adds a signature search algorithm to its already impressive feature list. The all-new signature search algorithm increases chances of successful recovery by analyzing the content of the entire hard disk instead of relying solely on information stored in the file system. By performing a thorough scan of the disk and matching data against a database of supported file formats, the updated data recovery product exceeds the performance of many more expensive alternatives.
Signature search algorithms are the heart of any successful data recovery product. Signature search works by analyzing the content of the disk byte after byte, just like anti-virus scanners do. The content of each sector is being compared against a built-in signature database that contains signatures typical of certain types of files, such as office documents, ZIP and RAR archives, images, email messages, and so on. If a signature is detected, the signature search algorithm can analyze the content of the sector in order to detect the beginning and end of the file.
